GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL IN OUR WORLD.

There is a scripture that I have come to love and has brought much comfort over the years. It is Romans 8:28 NKJV And we know that ALL things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Other translations say:

AMPLIFIED We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

NLT And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

PASSION So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.

There are so many things that have and do happen in our personal world and in the broader world, we cannot help but ask WHY? but when we get the realisation that God knows EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYTHING and saw it happen in eternity past and permitted it to take place for a PURPOSE, here Paul says it is for OUR GOOD. That is why we have to learn to RESPOND AND NOT REACT when things happen in our lives that we sure don’t understand.

God says in Isaiah 55:7 KJV For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways saith the Lord.
The writer of the Book of Hebrews likens God to a Father and says in Hebrews 12:6-11 NKJV If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, THAT WE MAY BE PARTAKERS OF HIS HOLINESS. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward IT YIELDS THE PEACEABLE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS to those who have been trained by it.

As parents we need to discipline our children (BECAUSE WE LOVE THEM) so they grow up obedient and successful,

Paul says it is for our GOOD that we may be partakers of God’s holiness, and the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

Our God is SOVEREIGN and in complete control, let us learn not to react, but respond, to those difficult situations that come our way, that doesn’t meant we are fatalistic, as we also have the promise from Jesus in Luke 11:9 AMP So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.

As we ask the Lord, He will show us what His plan is, and as we read in Hebrews, it is so often that we will become more like Jesus and that we love and serve Him more.
