THE AWESOME JOURNEY WITH THE LORD CONTINUES

It is now close to 71 years since I became a born again Christian. The day, the place, the experience is unforgettable, I sure had no idea where the experience would take me, but as expressed in the title of this blog it has been AN AWESOME JOURNEY.

It has been a JOURNEY OF PROGRESS, as the Holy Spirit continues to lead me into all truth. in many ways there seems to have been more progress in these last 10 years, as I have slowly moved into “retirement”. In hindsight there were many times over the years I was simply too busy, and even though often in the midst of blessing and apparent growth I many times failed the Lord.

I have written many times of the lack of Discipleship I received over the years, and consequently there has been often defeat instead of spiritual victory.

In the midst of this lack of Discipleship came the clear call of God into Ministry, and this changed the complexion of the journey completely. Ministry has taken me literally all over the world, as the Lord opened door after door. In hindsight these doors were particularly DOORS OF TRANSITION. To bible College/s to train for Ministry, into Pastoral work, and seeing churches grow and touching communities. Then into Bible College Teaching and training of young men for Ministry. Then leading a College in S.E.Asia, which was a very special experience. Then itinerating to at least 25 different countries teaching the Word of God.

Then as I have slowly moved into “retirement” other expressions of TRANSITION have had to take place.

I am currently in between transitions at this time, my readers will know I am suffering with considerable nerve pain which makes walking a challenge, I have transitioned (over the past few years)from a public ministry to a private ministry, which has included, blogging, Mentoring, and Intercession. my pain has sure taken the edge of these ministries, but I believe there is a new transition starting to take place, and I seek my readers prayers that it will fully come to pass.

I have been greatly blessed by Isaiah 43:19 and there has been some lovely expressions of truth to me personally.

KJV Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?

Here the prophet says God is going to do a new thing, it is ready to spring forth.

N.L.T. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?

It is almost here, and it is going to be new, Lord may I have eyes to see what You want to do in me and through me amen.

N.I.V. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

God has started this new thing ,it is springing up NOW Lord open my eyes to see what You are doing.

This has become a Rhema (light bulb word) to me, and this blog is really asking for prayer that I will not in any way miss out on what God wants to do in me and through me. I trust this will include complete healing from the nerve pain, Interestingly, I am currently in transition with the medication I have been taking for some months, because of potential side effects, I am being weaned off the current medication, this week it is down to 1/3, and next week 1/4, then the new medication can be started. I sure pray, this will reduce and deal with the pain once and for all.

I want to conclude this blog, by giving the Lord ALL THE GLORY, I reaffirm His Sovereignty over my life, and that I believe Rom. 8:28-30 KJV with all my heart And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

So, it is with excitement and anticipation that i look forward to the outworking of this transition in my life.
