DID YOU KNOW THE FATHER HAS QUALIFIED US? ENJOY YOUR INHERITANCE NOW.
A special prayer of mine of late has been “LORD INCREASE MY HUNGER FOR YOUR WORD, TEACH ME MORE AND MORE TO MEDITATE ON YOUR WORD, AND LET THE LOGOS (WRITTEN) WORD BECOME THE RHEMA WORD (PERSONAL AND ALIVE) AND LET FAITH GROW IN MY HEART,
Rom.10:17 NKJV So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word (RHEMA) of God.
I have just begun to read and meditate in Paul’s letter to the Colossians. and chapter 1:12 NKJV was wonderfully quickened to me.
Giving thanks to the Father who has QUALIFIED us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
I trust your experience is often so similar to mine, that you can read a verse/s a hundred times and like a flower (rose) it can open up more and more to you. In this particular case I would have read the verse hundreds of times over the years, and for the first time it seems GOD TURNED ONTHE LIGHT and I saw this glorious truth in a new way, as is often used these days IT WAS TRULY A LIGHT BULB MOMENT.
I know more and more it is true that if we will learn to meditate (and chew over) the Word of God He will give us ILLUMINATION, that as Paul declares in Rom.10:17 FAITH will spring up in our heart, as the Word becomes personal and alive in us.
King David often would pray and ask the Lord to QUICKEN His Word. In past generations this word was often used in relation to a woman being pregnant and that around the middle of her pregnancy she would experience what was called the QUICKENING when she would feel the baby move for the first time in her womb.
The Apostle Peter also used a related idea in 1 Peter 1:23 NKJV having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,
The AMP.N.T. expresses it this way You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, SPERM), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.
The Word of God described as divine SPERM is planted in the womb of our heart and we are born again, spiritual conception takes place, and every time we spend quality time in the Word of God we can experience the incorruptible seed (sperm) being planted in our heart.
Col.1:12 begins with GIVING THANKS, we must learn to have an ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE, and as Paul tells us in 1 Thess. 5:18 NKJV In EVERYTHING give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
As parents we have to teach our children to say “please” and thank you” so we must learn to be thankful for all the Lord is giving us and doing for us daily.
The key word in this verse is QUALIFIED and when we think about the word, it usually suggests to us what we have done to make us eligible, but Paul is clearly telling us that the FATHER has qualified us TO BE PARTAKERS OF THE INHERITANCE OF THE SANTS IN THE LIGHT.us
This is the outworking of GOD’S SO GREAT SALVATION. When the eternal Godhead met together in eternity past to plan our glorious Salvation every area of our lives BODY, SOUL & SPIRIT were covered in God’s great Salvation plan and through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ we who could never qualify for this inheritance the Father has QUALIFIED us for this inheritance both now as we live here on the earth, and the continued inheritance throughout eternity.
So my brothers and sisters who read this let me remind you, we could never do anything to qualify to receive God’s glorious inheritance, THE FATHER HAS QUALIFIED. It is all written in the Will, with our name written on it Hallelujah. and Jesus paid it all for us.
