SOME THOUGHTS TO SHARE WITH YOU.

By John Ollis

In a few months I will be 84 years old, and today I want to testify again what a awesome life the Lord has given to me, I will also be celebrating my 74th spiritual birthday, what a blessed journey it has been. It is quite a few months since I have written a blog and I would like to share some thoughts with you today that I trust will be blessing to you.

God told Moses to build a Tabernacle according to the pattern He would show him, and when the Tabernacle was complete God’s Presence and Power filled the Holy of Holies. As we pass this truth through the Cross and apply New Covenant truth to it, God message today is

TO BUILD OUR LIVES AND GOD’S HOUSE ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD.

Back in 2013 I wrote a series of blogs on this subject, and I am reminded there were numerous times over the years I was so busy with “my ministry” to follow this instruction. I want to encourage you to spend time in the Word (not for “your ministry”) to ensure you are building your life and the church “according to the pattern” of the Word. Let us deepen our intimacy with the Lord, and our love for Him, let us meditate on GOD’S SO GREAT SALVATION and the glorious inheritance we have NOW.We are never too old to have a Mentor or spiritual Father to sincerely share with and be encouraged and challenged by their imput in our lives.

I am part of a men’s Bible study that seeks to meet weekly to study and share our thoughts. We have been studying the Book of Malachi and it has been a great blessing. There are many things I could share her, but one verse in chapter 3, verse 16 N.K.J.V. that really blest me.

GOD’S PEOPLE ARE TO MEDITATE ON GOD’S NAME.

There is so much Theology and truth in His Name, there is actually around 100 names in the scripture, may I suggest you simply “google’ The Names of God in the Bible and then choose to spend a few minutes each day meditating on that name, and let the Holy Spirit quicken truth to your heart and mind.

I trust these thoughts will bless and encourage you.
