THE GREATEST NEED OF THE HOUR

I had considerable feed back on my recent blog series on “Some things I believe”, and was encouraged by the responses and support I received. Sadness was expressed that so many important truths are not preached anymore, and the concern that the Christian church in Australia is straying from it Biblical roots.
The great Evangelical leader  Vance Havner puts it this way.
THE DEVIL IS NOT FIGHTING RELIGION; HE IS TOO SMART FOR THAT. HE IS PRODUCING A COUNTERFEI CHRISTIANITY SO MUCH LIKE THE REAL ONE THAT GOOD CHRISTIANS ARE AFRAID TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST IT.
Sadly, when one is deceived they do not realise it, and seem blind to the problem. William Booth the founder of The Salvation Army expresses it this way.
THE CHIEF DANGER OF THE CENTURY WILL BE:
RELIGION WITHOUT THE HOLY GHOST
CHRISTIANITY WITHOUT CHRIST
FORGIVENESS WITHOUT REPENTANCE
SALVATION WITHOUT REGENERATION
HEAVEN WITHOUT HELL.
We are living in such a generation, where deception, and compromise seem to be the order of the day. My heart is burdened at what I see and hear.
I guess some will simply say it is a “sign of the times” BUT IT CAN CHANGE.
sadly, some see the problem, but are not motivated to do anything about it.

THE ONLY ANSWER IS PRAYER

Can I encourage you to pray, “Lord I need to get desperate, I can’t do it myself, You need to help me, please put a desperation in my heart, that I will fast and pray, and seek you like never before until we see a breakthrough.

Does God want to revive His Church in this day YES, YES, YES,

As the Apostle John reminds us in his first epistle, WE HAVE NOT BECAUSE WE ASK NOT,

Jesus encourages us to ASK AND KEEP ON ASKING, SEEK AND KEEP ON SEEKING, KNOCK AND KEEP ON KNOCKING UNTIL THE ANSWER COMES AMEN.

Can I encourage you to do this, will you talk to your Christian friends, pray alone, pray together until the breakthrough comes.

There will be some who read this and say my comments are extreme and unbalanced, of course there are some good things happening in some places, but Havner & Booth’s statements are totally correct right now, by the grace of God, history confirms we can turn things around,  Think of the great awakening in the U.S. the Welsh Revival, the Hebridean revival, the Korean revival,  God wants to do it again.
