INTERCESSION AND A SPECIAL NATION

There are so many truths in the Word of God I love to write about, but continually feel compelled to come back to encouraging believers to lay the right foundations. Common sense teaches us that if we want to build a building the foundations must be strong enough to carry the structure of the building. Even Jesus said, the builder sits down and counts the cost before he starts. This is not just the cost of materials and manpower but everything to do with the new structure.
The burden of my heart as you all know  is in the area of Discipleship and Mentoring, a Discipleship class is simply  not enough, we need someone to walk with us into victory and maturity.
So many believers and Leaders do not see the importance of these important truths, and so many new Christians, live defeated prayer-less and devoid of the Word of God lives and come to think this is normal.  Sadly, some fall away (were they truly born again in the first place?) and we often say,  “that person has backslid !!!!!!
Jesus said that our no.1 priority  must be is making the rule of God the focus in our lives.
Here is my latest definition about prayer.

PRAYER IS ALL ABOUT KNOWING JESUS, AND THINKING ABOUT OTHERS.

Can we talk about  OTHERS today, I trust you have an Intercession List where you have listed the people you are committed to pray for daily. I have a retired clergy friend who has put me on his Thursday list.

Do you have a NATIONS list  that you pray for regularly.

Psalm 2:8  tells Ask of Me and I will give you  the nations for your inheritance.  Because of all my travels there are many nations I pray for daily, and there is one special city and nation that I never forget to pray for.  ISRAEL   Psalm 122:6 tells us  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee.

Did you know that Israel is surrounded by:

22 Islamic nations

These nations are 640 times larger in land space

They have 60 times the population

Here is a glorious promise for you  Genesis 12:3

I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you, It will be through God’s chosen people that all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

There is so much more that I could write about today related to Intercession, but felt very impressed to remind you of the importance of praying for the city of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel.

If we make seeking the Kingdom (rule) of God our no.1 priority and the needs of others, we are guaranteed God’s blessing on our lives.
