SOME IMPORTANT "R"s IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD

We all know the “3 R’s” in education ….. Reading, ‘W’riting, and ‘A’rithmetic! …. There are also some very important “R”s when it comes to the Kingdom of God. As today is Maundy Thursday, we  are preparing our hearts for an special time over this Easter Season, and it is a great time to emphasise  these “R”s in our preparation. It is time for:
REFLECTION Let us spend some time considering all that was accomplished for us through the Lord Jesus’ death and resurrection, and if we are appropriating all that is available for us.
REPENTANCE  This is not just something that unbelievers need to do, but it is an essential continuous act we need to do. Because of the bias  we have towards sin and sinning, we need to regularly be “turning around” and having that important “change of mind”, change of attitude, and change of direction, and change of affection.
We can personally seek to live a life in (continuous)  REVIVAL knowing the constant REFRESHING that comes from the hand of the Lord Acts 3″19 NKJV  so that we let the Holy Spirit’s work of RESTORATION continue to work in us to cause us to be changed into the image of Christ.
We need to let the Holy Spirit continue to RENEW us, and REJUVANATE us, Paul tells us in Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you KJV. Not only in the future when Christ returns but NOW as we make the RESOLVE daily to surrender our lives to the Lord, and walk in His Will, His Way, and according to His Word.
This will deepen our RELATIONSHIP with the Lord.
All these “R”s could cause a REVOLUTION in our world for the honour and glory of God and the extending of His Kingdom.
May I encourage you to think about these important “R”s at this time, and let them work in you and me AMEN.
