THE BLESSINGS OF OBEDIENCE
Have you ever been driving down the highway and looked in your rear vision mirror and seen a large truck bearing down on you, You are doing the speed limit, but he is doing more, and soon overtakes you and passes you. I felt the Holy Spirit impress me with the glorious promise in Deuteronomy 28:2. I had been meditating on the fact of the Lord’s rich blessing on my life, so undeserved. I truly have been OVERTAKEN by His blessings and I want to thank God today.
AND THESE BLESSINGS WILL OVERTAKE YOU BECAUSE YOU OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD YOUR GOD. NKJV
ALL THESE BLESSINGS WILL COME DOWN ON YOU AND SPREAD OUT BEYOND YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE RESPONDED TO THE VOICE OF GOD, YOUR GOD. MESSAGE
I am reminded of an old chorus I used to sing as a young person:
EVERY PROMISE IN THE BOOK IS MINE
EVERY CHAPTER,EVERY VERSE, EVERY LINE
ALL THE BLESSINGS OF HIS LOVE DIVINE
EVERY PROMISE IN THE BOOK IS MINE.
Let me also remind you that with every promise there is CONDITIONS. Let us look at Deuteronomy 28:1.
NOW IT SHALL COME TO PASS, IF YOU DILIGENTLY OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD YOUR GOD, TO OBSERVE CAREFULLY HIS COMMANDMENTS WHICH I COMMAND YOU TODAY, THE LORD WILL SET YOU ON HIGH. NKJV
LET ME HIGHLIGHT THE CONDITIONS
- Diligently obey. Not just obey, but a total commitment to God’s voice 24/7
- Obey ALLTHE COMMANDMENTS. Not picking and choosing what we want to obey, which means we must love the Word of God and know what the Word requires.

Mediate on verses 3-14, what a list of blessings, let the Holy Spirit open your mind as you apply these blessings to your life. AND YOU CAN DECLARE WITH ME.
