HOW SALTY ARE YOU ?

By John Ollis

I have been overwhelmed by the response to my last blog “Living and walking in the Spirit”.  The response sure indicates a great desire in Believers hearts to live the Spirit filled life. Why was there such a response to my blog? Is it that Believers ARE NOT getting much teaching on this all important subject?
1.Do they attend churches that either promote an initial infilling of the Spirit and when you have received you have reached the “goal”?
2. Do they attend churches that do not emphasise or believe in  the importance of living and walking the Spirit?
3. Does it suggest that many Believers know they are born again, but are not experiencing spiritual victory and growth in their lives, but somehow feel:

THERE HAS GOT TO BE MORE TO THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

My last blog gave some important keys to living the Spirit filled life, so I will not be repeating them here, I would suggest though that Believers print off the blog, and make the various keys I have suggested the goals for their daily walk with the Lord. Since writing the blog on Saturday I felt the Holy Spirit impress upon my heart that I can personally EVEN SILENTLY testify to the Spirit filled life.
We are aware for example it is important to know what you believe about the important truths in the Word of God, and for those who have read my blogs know where I stand on the fundamental truths in the Scriptures, BUT I DO NOT WANT T0 BE KNOWN AS A:
Charismatic or a Pentecostal
An Arminianist or a Calvinist
A Pre-Millenialist or an Amillenialist
Or anything else.
By the grace of God, I want to known as a Christian who: LOVES JESUS AND SEEKS TO LIVE THE SPIRIT FILLED LIFE.  and for people to hear within their spirit “here is someone you can follow because He follows Jesus”.
Jesus taught in Matthew 5:13 “We are to be the salt of the earth” the big question is

HOW SALTY ARE YOU?

I want to make people THIRSTY FOR JESUS, without even opening my mouth they can SEE “Once I was blind but now I see”, it is “not I that I live but Christ lives in me”. For those who have known me for years will say, HE HAS CHANGED, AND CONTINUES TO CHANGE.
Please do not consider teaching on LIVING AND WALKING IN THE SPIRIT  just as a doctrine, but that in God’s plan IT IS TO BE THE NORMAL CHRISTIAN LIFE.  Through the finished work of Christ on the Cross, and His resurrection, and His continued Intercession for us, we have NO EXCUSE.
We can declare with the Psalmist (16:11) IN YOUR PRESENCE IS FULNESS OF JOY, AT YOUR RIGHT HAND ARE PLEASURES FOR EVERMORE. Amen.
My prayer is, Lord make me SALTIER still, so that I make people THIRSTY FOR YOU AND YOU ALONE.
