DO NOT EVER REPLACE THE WORD OF GOD, IT IS UNIQUE

By John Ollis

As there is something very special and unique about the Word of God, we are encouraged to spend quality time daily reading, studying and meditating on and in the Word. My regular readers are already saying is John still on about the Word of God, YES I AMwhy you may ask? The Apostle Paul writing to young Timothy expresses it this way in 2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
The very breath of God dwells in every word, every chapter, every book of the Bible, and like a dying man we should continually seek to see the Word of God like spiritual oxygen to the Believer, THAT WE CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THE WORD OF GOD.
A business man has the goal of making a profit in his line of work, and every Believer mustdesire to know spiritual profit (growth/ favour/blessing/victory/power) as he regularly comes to God’s Banqueting table to feast on the very finest food God has made available to us.
As well as the importance of a Mentor to speak into our life, we must let the Word of God CORRECT US AND DISCIPLINE US.  We must see the Word of God as His ROADMAP to direct us in the way we should go.

SOME G.P.S. WILL LEAD YOU ASTRAY, BUT THE BIBLE WILL ALWAYS TAKE YOU TO WHERE GOD WANTS YOU TO GO

Paul goes on and says if we live in to Word of God  it will lead us to maturity and to being fully equipped to do  whatever is needed in our personal spiritual life and our ministry.
One translation indicates that the Word of God will help expose error, and of course will keep you from error as well.
All that I have said not only relates to us and our personal need to spend time in the Word of God, but I want to speak to Preachers.

MAKE SURE YOUR PREACHING IS FULL OF THE WORD OF GOD

I visited a prominent fast growing Charismatic church recently, and there was a total of two verse of Scripture quoted in a 40 minute sermon, I was extremely disappointed, as it is not man’s ideas or philosophies that will change a person’s life,

ONLY THE  WORD CAN CHANGE A PERSON”S LIFE

It is not only the divine sperma  that causes spiritual conception in a person’s life to cause Him to come to Christ and be born again, but EVERY DAY personally we need to divine sperma  (the Rhema Word) to come into our spirit, every time a Preacher stands to speak he should be the channel to bring God’s Rhema Word to God’s people amen.
I am reminded of the excellent statement:

METHODS CHANGE BUT THE MESSAGE MUST NEVER CHANGE

I agree totally with this statement, so Preachers, in being “contemporary preach the Word, let your sermons be full of the Word of God.
Contemporary churches have sure changed their methods when it comes to the music area, again I agree wholeheartedly, but when it comes to words in the songs,

LET THE WORDS BE CHRISTOCENTRIC

Church is all about meeting with the Lord, and we “enter His    gates with thanks giving and into His courts with praise, it is not about you and me, and then we go into the Holy of Holies and bow down and worship the Lord.
I am sounding negative but do not apologise, the more we know and understand the word of God, the more we will see Jesus high and lifted up, we will not need the world’s methods in our church service, but from the very first song the spotlight will be on Jesus amen
