ARE YOU A WORRIER?

By John Ollis

We know “life is not a bed of roses” and from time to time pressures and problems come our way, and sadly we are often too embarrassed to go and share with someone, or we may think they are too busy, or not interested and couldn’t care less. So we carry the burden alone, and it robs us of our peace and joy, and drains the very life out of us. I am reminded of King David’s words in Psalm 55:22 NKJV Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you, He shall never permit the righteous yo be moved.
The AMP N.T. says Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail)

The MESSAGE says Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders—He’s carry your load, He’ll help you out, He’ll never let good people topple into ruin.
Our shoulders ARE NOT broad enough to carry our cares and worries, I am so glad JESUS HAS BROAD SHOULDERS, and we can come to Him ANYTIME and place our burdens on Him.

The reality is that as Believers this needs to be a CONTINUED REVELATION, God has made us emotional beings with a mind, and unless we REMIND OURSELVES REGULARLY of this glorious promise, we will slip back into our old ways.

Let me remind you of the Apostle Peter’s words in 1 Peter 5:7 NKJV Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. again I love what the AMP N.T. says Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Not only is God ALWAYS AVAILABLE, and always ready to LISTEN TO US, here Peter says HE CARES FOR US and loves us with an EVERLASTING LOVE.

Let us not carry our cares for a minute, let as be CARE FREE, and daily learn to bring ALL OUR BURDENS TO THE LORD IN PRAYER.

King David says in Psalm 55 if we learn to casts all our cares on the Lord we will be INMOVABLE.(NKJV) The AMP O.T. says we will not slip, fall or fail.

Paul after having to write to the church in Corinth and correct them for all their carnality and excesses, says in 1 Cor. 15:58 NKJV Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, IMMOVABLE, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

I think Paul is saying, as we cast our burdens on the Lord, we take our eyes off ourselves, and onto the Lord and onto a lost and dying world and do His work as He commanded us and fulfil the Great Commission.

So the next time the birds of worry and care fly around our head, let us do as King David and Peter tells us, and as James reminds us his letter chapter 4:7 NKJV Therefore SUBMIT to God. RESIST the devil and he will FLEE from you.

Let this be our testimony amen, have a blessed weekend.
