MY PRIVILEGE-ACCESS AND BOLDNESS (Lenten 2)

The blogs I will be writing over the next 6 weeks will all be aspects of truth to encourage us and to remind us of all that was accomplished for us by the Lord Jesus Christ through His Crucifixion and His Resurrection and His continued Intercessory Ministry on our behalf.
The Bible tells us that Adam and Eve were made in the image of God and had the potential not to sin, but despite this fact they did sin, and were cast out of the Garden of Eden, and the wrath of God came on all creation because of their disobedience, and everyone since then has been born with a sinful nature. God’s justice had to be satisfied, and a sinless offering would have to be made and God’s wrath placed on that offering, God had declared that blood had to be shed for the sin to be forgiven Lev. 17:11 NKJV For it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’, the write to the Hebrews in 9:22 NIV declares For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.
Only Jesus as the sinless son of God could shed His blood to deal with the sin question once and for all. WE have no access into the presence of God unless we do as it says in 1 John 1:9 AMP N.T.If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (TRUE TO HIS OWN NATURE AND PROMISES) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].
The moment you and I were born again and the Blood of Jesus Christ was applied to our life, for the first time WE HAD ACCESS INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD. Christ’s blood has never lost its ancient power, and every time when we have sinned and come and cry out GOD BE MERCIFUL TO ME A SINNER, we are forgiven.
We have a glorious promise in Hebrews 4:16 I want to share with you today.
AMP N.T. Let us then FEARLESSLY, AND CONFIDENTLY AND BOLDY draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].
PASSION Translation So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.
MESSAGE.So let’s walk right up to him and GET WHAT HE IS READY TO GIVE. Take the mercy, accept the help.
When we fail the Lord, we feel so unworthy, but the Word of God says we CAN COME BOLDY INTO THE THRONE ROOM OF GOD, indicating we have a need and confess that need and because of God’s
UNCHANGING CHARACTER
THE PROMISES IN THE WORD OF GOD
THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS ON THE CROSS.
We have forgiveness and reconciliation with our God, and the peace of God flows into our hearts and we declare IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.
Let us never forget when Good looks at us, He does does not see what we used to be He sees Jesus Hallelujah.
May during Lent, through fasting and repentance not only make sure we have “cleared the decks of every sin”, but seek His constant grace to KEEP ON TURING AROUND so that we have:
A CHANGE OF MIND
A CHANGE OF ATTITUDE
A CHANGE OF DIRECTION
A CHANGE OF AFFECTION
May we learn during this time that through the finished work of Christ, I have such an inheritance now, so that I can live above sin and walk in purity and victory amen.
