GOD BRINGING GOOD OUT OF THE PANDEMIC.
I am sure none of us could believe if we had been told in January that by March the world would be experiencing a Pandemic. Here we are in may and over 200 thousand people have died as a result Of Covid-19.
Most of us can not remember the great depression of the 1930’s I for example was only a baBy during World War 2.
The Pandemic has caused many Christians to ask the question “Why does God permit all this suffering”? There are many fancy answers to this question, I am not sure how to answer it, except to say OUR SOVEREIGN GOD IS IN COMPLETE CONTROL, HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.
some Christians immediately start blaming the devil for this calamity, but I am ever reminded that the devil could not touch Job without God’s permission. We do not know why God has permitted this pandemic to occur, but I am sure He has a plan, and included in that plan must be that God’s people, would “draw nearer to the Lord and walk closer with Him, and that unbelievers would repent and come to the Lord, as it is THE WILL OF GOD NONE SHOULD PERISH.
My concern is that restrictions are beginning to be lifted in some states, and I am not aware of the pandemic causing the Church to pray and repent, and we are sure not seeing a mass turning to God in the general population.
A dear Christian friend has told me of a couple of organisations that is trying to help in this area. In the USA there is THE DAY OF REPENTANCE MOVEMENT, and today May 1 is one on these special days. Here in Australia there is MOVEMENT DAY, I know very little about either organisation (my friend is helping me and giving me more information). You can also google these names that will help you.
Unbelievers are concerned about their physical health, but are not yet concerned about their spiritual health and future, oh how we must pray that the Holy Spirit will start to:
CONVICT OF SIN
THE LACK OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
ETERNAL JUDGEMENT
Believers must start to recognise the truth of Rom. 8:28 NLT And we know that God causes everything to work together for the GOOD of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
That the Lord is giving us this awesome opportunity to do as James recommends in James 4:8 PASSION Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you.
God wants to His people revived, and restored and moving forward with Him, and then a great ingathering of precious souls into the Kingdom of God.
LET US PRAY AND BELIEVE THIS WILL HAPPEN AMEN.
