DOING THE WILL OF GOD.
King David declared in Psalm 40:8 NKJV” I delight to do Your will, O my God, and your law is within my heart”
NLT I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart”.
MESSAGE And I’m coming to the party
you’re throwing for me.”
That’s when God’s Word entered my life,
became part of my very being.
I can honestly and sincerely say, this is the prayer of my heart, TO EVER BE IN THE CENTRE OF GOD’S WILL.
Paul tells us in 1 Cor. 14:33 NKJV For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.
He does not want us kept in the dark and confused He wants us to know what His will is for our life, and He will give us His grace and strength and wisdom to fulfil it.
There maybe times when like Jesus in Luke 22:42 NKJV we may feel like saying Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; NEVERTHELESS not My will, but Yours, be done.”
The reality is that we will never be happy and fulfilled unless we are seeking to walk IN THE WILL OF GOD. I remember as a young teenager a lady in the church I was attending who said she knew God had called her into full time ministry, but instead she married an unbeliever, and lived with that double regret of disobeying God’s Word and His call on her life.
God places a calling upon every Believer, again it is so helpful to have someone walk with you to help you ascertain what is God’s will for our lives, this is God’s particular will for us. The Bible also declares there are some specific aspects of the will of God for every Believer.
I love Church History and especially that aspect of God reforming the Church and restoring truths that had been lost for 100’s of years, after 100+ years Calvin & Luther had brought those initial Reform truths, other men of God began to preach about holiness and victorious living. we read in 1 Thessalonians 4:3 NKJV For this is the WILL OF GOD, your SANCTIFICATION.

Christ’s death & resurrection not only dealt with the sin question and God’s wrath on mankind, but also dealt with the power of sin and the ability to live a holy, pure and victorious life, and this is the will of God for every Believer, so much so the writer to Hebrews says in Hebrews 12;14 NKJV Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: This is a challenge and we sure need to know what God has made available to us so we can live a holy victorious life.
Paul also tells us in Thessalonians in Thess. 5:18 NKJV n everything GIVE THANKS; for this is the WILL OF GOD in Christ Jesus for you.
We must develop an attitude of GRATITUDE, and please note IN EVERYTHING, what a challenge that is, it may get easier as we recognise that God is in complete control of our world and at Rom. 8:28 NKJC is correct And we know that ALL things work together for GOOD to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Let me conclude with the words of Jesus in Mark 3:35 NKJV For whoever does the WILL OF GOD is My brother and My sister and mother.”
MESSAGE Obedience is thicker than blood. The person who obeys God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
Let us make this our no.1 priority TO LIVE AND WALK IN THE WILL OF GOD AMEN
