I conclude this very simple series of blogs on God’s Word – The Bible we conclude with The Word of God is like a STAR, that always guides the Believer to the Lord Jesus Christ, just like the star led the Wise men from the East to the manger in Bethlehem. We read in 2 Peter 1:19 AMP.N.T. And we have the prophetic word [made] firmer still. You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place, until the day breaks through [the gloom] and the Morning Star rises (comes into being) in your hearts.
N.L.T. Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.
MESSAGE We couldn’t be more sure of what we saw and heard—God’s glory, God’s voice. The prophetic Word was confirmed to us. You’ll do well to keep focusing on it. It’s the one light you have in a dark time as you wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in your hearts.
