GOD’S WORD – THE BIBLE (11)

By John Ollis

I conclude this very simple series of blogs on God’s Word – The Bible we conclude with The Word of God is like a STAR, that always guides the Believer to the Lord Jesus Christ, just like the star led the Wise men from the East to the manger in Bethlehem. We read in 2 Peter 1:19 AMP.N.T. And we have the prophetic word [made] firmer still. You will do well to pay close attention to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal (squalid and dark) place, until the day breaks through [the gloom] and the Morning Star rises (comes into being) in your hearts.

Yet it has marvellous harmony and unity of the main subject, because God who “is NOT a God of Disorder” 2 Cor. 14:33 has inspired the writing of it all. The message of the Bible surpasses that of all other boks ever written. The task of Theology is to gather all of the facts on any given subject and to build these “scattered teachings… into a logical and harmonious system. Thiessen
