CONTINUALLY DEALING WITH A DEFEATED ENEMY

By John Ollis

I have always been fearful of spotlighting the enemy, and and also of Christians who always seem to be talking about him. I wonder if my feelings are a ploy of the enemy and he just doesn’t want us to talk about him nor for us to realise just what keys, tools and weapons that are a part of our inheritance as a born again Believer.

The New Testament makes it very clear Christians have an enemy, we know he was defeated when Jesus was crucified and buried and rose again, the enemy sure knows he has been defeated, yet he continually seeks to take territory that is not his to have. So I am coming to realise we need to clearly know what these keys, tools and weapons, that are available to us and we must learn how to use them.

I am so thankful to a dear friend who knows the Greek text well, and informs me that Believers can take both an offensive as well as defensive position against the enemy using all theses weapons.

I have listed them before, and will list them again, may these weapons not just be information but REVELATION, and that we learn to be sensitive and alert the moment the enemy, or our flesh seeks to take advantage of us.

I thank God today for:

1.The whole armour of God Eph. 6:10 18 NKJV which includes the Helmet of Salvation to protect our minds.Let’s not forget the the present tense in the Greek test is continuous, and we must learn to do it continually.

2, The authority has been delegated to us to use “The Name of Jesus.” against the enemy.

3. The blood of Christ to cleanse and protect

4. The Rhema Word of God (also mentioned in Eph.) as the Sword of the Spirit

5. Speaking in tongues as a weapon of warfare

6. Praising God as a weapon of warfare

7. Filling our minds with what Phil. 4:8 tells us and seeking to constantly think on these things. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

8. Ask for angelic assistance Psalm 92:11-12 NKJV

I also use Michael the Archangel’s words in Jude 9 NKJV “The Lord rebuke you!”

I am sure the list goers on and on, of all weapons that are available to us, our challenge is to do our part and do i continually..

James 4:7-8 NKJV Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

MESSAGE So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time

PASSION So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you. Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you.

Let us lay hold of God’s glorious promise in Isaiah 54:17 NKJV

Let me remind you GOD SAID IT, I BELIEVE IT, THAT SETTLES IT

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the Lord.

The enemy’s weapons are useless when we learn to use all the weapons in the Armoury God has given us.

Again, there is probably not one new thing I have written here today, but it is a truth as the hymnwriter declares TELL ME THE STORY OFTEN FOR I FORGET SO SOON.

Christian brothers and sisters Let’s “just do it” amen
