ARE YOU WALKING IN A FRESH ANOINTING TODAY?

The Holy Spirit never speaks of Himself, but always puts the spotlight on Jesus. The reality is that we are in the Kingdom of God today, because the Holy Spirit drew us to the Father, and convicted us of our sin, and gave us the ability to repent of our sin and find peace and reconciliation with the Father. The moment we were born again the Holy Spirit came into our life, and the Holy Spirit placed assurance in our heart, that we were born again, He gave us the witness in our hearts that our names were written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and our life has surely never been the same since.

John in his first epistle describes the Holy Spirit as THE ANOINTING we read in 1 John 2:20 NKJV But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.

PASSION But the Holy One has anointed you and you all know the truth.

N.L.T. But you are not like that, for the Holy One has given you his Spirit,

1 John 2:27 NKJV tells us But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

PASSION But the wonderful anointing you have received from God is so much greater than their deception and now lives in you. There’s no need for anyone to keep teaching you. His anointing teaches you all that you need to know, for it will lead you into truth, not a counterfeit. So just as the anointing has taught you, remain in him.

N.L.T. But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.

MESSAGE But they’re no match for what is embedded deeply within you—Christ’s anointing, no less! You don’t need any of their so-called teaching. Christ’s anointing teaches you the truth on everything you need to know about yourself and him, uncontaminated by a single lie. Live deeply in what you were taught.

These verses echo the words of Jesus in John 14:26 NKJV But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

PASSION But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like me who sets you free, he will teach you all things in my name. And he will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you.

N.K.J.V, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

MESSAGE The Friend, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will make everything plain to you. He will remind you of all the things I have told you.

As believers we must learn to continually be filled with the Spirit Eph.5:18, and to say with the Psalmist in Psalm 92:10 NKJV But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.

PASSION Your anointing has made me strong and mighty. You’ve empowered my life to triumph, by pouring fresh oil over me.

To enjoy this fresh daily anointing , we must listen to and obey Paul’s teaching in Gal. 5:25 NKJV If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

We who are involved in the Ministry of the Word, must ever rely on the “fresh anointing of the Spirit as we share the Word of God, and be able to say with Zechariah in his writings. Zech 4:6 NKJV Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of Hosts.

N.L.T. It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

MESSAGE They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies.

As we move in the “Anointing” we can anticipate seeing Mark 16:20 NKJV being fulfilled through us. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

PASSION And the apostles went out announcing the good news everywhere, as the Lord himself consistently worked with them, validating the message they preached with miracle-signs that accompanied them!

N.L.T. And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.

MESSAGE And the disciples went everywhere preaching, the Master working right with them, validating the Message with indisputable evidence.]

I want to thank our Heavenly Father today for the person and work of the Holy Spirit, for bringing me to a saving knowledge of Jesus, and for the Holy Spirit’s ministry in my life sanctifying me, revealing truth to me, leading me in His way and anointing me to share His Word.

Over 40 years ago, we often sang and were richly blest a simple chorus and the words were:

I shall be anointed with fresh oil every day, I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

I shall be anointed with the Holy Ghost and power, I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

Fresh oil, fresh oil, , anointed with fresh oil, anointed with the Holy Ghost and power.

Jesus shall bestow on the Glory of the Lord, and I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
