BROTHERS & SISTERS IT IS TIME TO PRAY
Church History is replete with the fact that from time to time the Holy Spirit would raise up Ministries to bring a fresh emphasis on a particular truth/s, this became so obvious in what we call the Reformation as God raised up men like John Calvin and Martin Luther to restore TRUTH to the Body of Christ. Not many years later, there came a fresh emphasis on WATER BAPTISM and then HOLY LIVING, and at the beginning of the 20th century the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
During the 20th century, there came a fresh emphasis on THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, the last few years has been more an emphasis on the church being CONTEMPORARY AND RELEVANT !!!!! to the generation we live in.
Then two years ago the world was hit with a pandemic, that has impacted our world more than anything else in our lifetime.
My New Testament reading at the moment is in the Books of 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, I was really stirred in my spirit as I read 2 Thess. 2:3-4 NKJV Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
N.L.T Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction. He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.
PASSION Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. Before that day comes the rebellion must occur and the “outlaw” —the destructive son—will be revealed in his true light. He is the opposing counterpart who exalts himself over everything that is called “God” or is worshiped and who sits enthroned in God’s temple and makes himself out to be a god.
MESSAGE Before that day comes, a couple of things have to happen. First, the Apostasy. Second, the debut of the Anarchist, a real dog of Satan. He’ll defy and then take over every so-called god or altar. Having cleared away the opposition, he’ll then set himself up in God’s Temple as “God Almighty.”
AMP.N.T. Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition),
We are sure living in days of deception, and yet hardly a Man of God has risen up to challenge the Body of Christ that we are living in the last of the last days, 2000 years ago Jesus told His disciples TO LOOK UP FOR THEIR REDEMPTION DRAWS NIGH, Luke 21:28. The early Church lived in the light of Christ’s soon return, the Apostle John reminds us we must live in the HOPE of Christ’s soon return, 1 John3:2_3 NKJV Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
Living in the light of Christ’s return causes us to live holy pure lives.
Paul tells us in 2 Thess. 2:3 that there will be a great falling away, and we are seeing this on every hand, many not want to go to church anymore despite the warning that WE MUST NOT FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER,AS YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING Heb. 10:25, now preferring to “watch” church on line !!!!! Plus the reality that churches are closing down or gong to a fortnightly or monthly service, every denomination is having massive difficulty to getting men to train for the Ministry.
2 Thess. 2:3 then talks about the “son of perdition: the “man of lawlessness”, the outlaw, the “destructive son”, the “Anti Christ”. In the past men like Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler and many others were spoke of as the Anti Christ, they are now long dead. I am not going to name a person, but there sure is a man who is seeking to dominate the world at this time, and yet so many are blind to his trickery.
I sincerely think that it will not be long before he is revealed, and Paul says THEN THE END WILL COME.
I trust I do not sound like a prophet of doom, but it is time for us to seriously consider 2 Chron. 7:14 f My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
The lord has been so good to us, and we do really know THAT WITHOUT HIM WE CAN DO NOTHING, let us begin to seek the Lord (LIKE NEVER BEFORE), and GET DESPERATE, to walk in the Lord’s ways, and live holy victorious lives, and EVER LOOKING UP FOR OUR REDEMPTION DRAWS NIGH. AMEN.To God be all the glory.
