DEALING WITH THE LITTLE FOXES AND WALKING IN PEACE AND JOY

By John Ollis

King David declares in Psalm 139:14 NKJV “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works,” how true we know it to be and in the creation of a human body He places emotions and a different temperament in everyone of us, so we often respond and react very differently from another person, of course the environment we have grown up in also often seems to teach us to respond and react in a particular way.

As Christians we are also often prone to simply “put up” with “little things” in our lives, and not seek the Lord for an answer. James tells us” in in his Epistle (James 4:2_ NKJV you do not have because you do not ask. I have put up with “little things in my life for many years, and recently have been making a matter of prayer, and surprise surprise, the Lord is answering my prayers, and I give Him the thanks and the praise for it.

King Solomon in his song 2:15 NKJV talks about “The little foxes that spoil the vine. Vines speak of grapes and wine and is a picture of the Holy Spirit, the “little foxes can be simply our lower nature or the “evil one.

COMMON LITTLE FOXES IN MY LIFE HAVE BEEN:

FEAR

DOUBT

UNBELIEF

NEGATIVITY

INSECURITY.

I have let these rob me of peace and joy.

These “little foxes” start in our mind and I have been asking the Lord to let me recognise their activity immediately, so I can “nip them in the bud” and cast them out of my mind, for the longer they remain in our minds, the longer we lose our peace and joy.

As part of our INHERITANCE NOW is THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD which includes THE HELMET OF SALVATION, as Believers we must learn to put on and use these 7 pieces of armour to protect ourselves from ourselves and the “evil one”.

May the Lord help us to recognise the “little foxes” and quickly deal with them, so we walk in peace and blessing.
