IT'S TIME TO INTERCEDE LIKE NEVER BEFORE

We believe that even though Jesus was the eternal Son of God, during His earthly ministry  He laid aside the prerogatives of His Deity, and did everything as a man empowered by the Holy Spirit.  He was our perfect example in every way.
Jesus continues to be our perfect example in heaven, as the writer to the Hebrews tells us (7:25 He (Jesus) ever lives to make intercession for them (us). Whenever He lifts His hands He sees my name (and yours) engraved on His palms, and He is praying for you and me, and he wants us to join with him in intercession for others, and for all the evil that is going on in our world today

IF JESUS IS OUR PERFECT EXAMPLE WE SHOULD COPY HIM

I wonder if there has ever been such a generation since creation that has become so God rejecting, corrupt and evil. We also live daily now with wars and rumours of wars, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, bush fires, droughts, famines and the list goes on and on and on.
If we think we should do something about these things, we demonstrate in marches and protests, and use  social media, in other words we are think fighting on the horizontal will deal with the problem/s, when we should be fighting on the vertical. Paul tells us that our weapons  are not carnal (like those mentioned above)  but the weapon God has given us is  mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Cor. 10.4). We cannot control the forces of nature, but we can contend against all the activities of the evil one and see his defeat.
I often write and teach about hearing the voice of God, but not only are Believers often deaf to God’s voice in the Scriptures, and through the preaching of the Word, and the still small voice of the Spirit within us, and when it comes to the TRUMPET CALL OF THE SPIRIT TO LAY HOLD OF THE PROMISES OF GOD IN INTERCESSION,( we hear nothing). 
We say we believe in prayer, but sadly it has  been throughout the history of the Church, that the majority of Believers have never personally known the power of prayer in their own personal lives or the power of prayer through them for others..
Some of my readers will immediately say, you are writing about this because this is your “new thing”. I guess there is some truth in that but we NEED THE WHOLE CHURCH TO RISE UP IN PRAYER and confront the enemy of the Church  who is actually defeated but our laziness and ignorance is giving him authority that Jesus took from him 2000 years ago,  I can hear the heart cry of God this very day as expressed in Ezekiel 22:30
So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and STAND IN THE GAP BEFORE ME on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found NO ONE. NKJV. 
Fellow believers it is not too late, would you sit before the Lord and open your heart, and if needs be repent for your lack of prayer and intercession, and start TODAY to lay hold of God and His promises for our sick and dying world. Closer to home personally most of us have unsaved loved ones, or backslidden family members that we could see restored to the Kingdom of God. Tell God I AM AVAILABLE, to stand in the gap, I will even FAST until I receive the answer/s. This is the type of intercession that every believer can be involved in. Not that it makes me special, but what the Lord is leading me into is different in many ways to the emphasis I am bringing above BUT IT IS STILL INTERCESSION. Ministries around the world are also under attack (at times) and need armour bearers who will share the load with them. I am humbled at the privilege to life so many ministries to the Lord every day.
Use your Concordance and look at all the references to prayer & intercession, in both the Old Testament and the New Testament and  ask the Lord to give you revelation and understanding.
We don’t know how much longer we have before everything gets wrapped up here on earth, (we all seem to feel it won’t be long), let us not have regrets when we stand before the Lord, but declare, BY HIS GRACE I HAVE STOOD IN THE GAP.
Many may rise up on that day and called you blessed because you interceded for them.
We could literally change the face of our world and beyond if we would learn to pray like Jacob and not give up until the answer is received.
