A NEW SEASON DAWNS

Yesterday, was the 1st September and here in the Southern Hemisphere began a new season we call spring. The area we live in is really lovely at this time of the year, blossom and wattle are growing everywhere, the Daffodils are blooming, and the Lavender is so fragrant. The bird life here in the Village is prolific, and they are greeting each day with much singing.

I am reminded of the words of King Solomon in Song of Songs 2:11-13 NKJV For lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth her green figs,
And the vines with the tender grapes
Give a good smell.

After a typical cold winter it is good to look forward to some lovely weather, and being able to go for drives and appreciate God’s beautiful creation.

I want to suggest to you today, that we the Church are beginning to MOVE INTO A NEW SEASON. These past 18 months of the pandemic has sure had a great impact on us all, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Let me remind you of Paul’s words in Rom.8:28 NKJV And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Our All knowing and all seeing Lord has not been surprised by all that has taken place, and for the Church Paul tells us, God has wanted to use it that has happened for OUR GOOD.

I wrote recently there appears to be a rising tide of prayer around the world, which initially seemed to be slow in coming, but God’s people are now seeking the Lord more and repenting as we read in 2 Chron.7:14 NKJV if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land, this has started to happen, and I am believing it is is going to increase.

Flowing out of personal repentance comes personal restoration, and flowing out of corporate repentance will flow corporate restoration. and the Church is going to seek to re-build itself “according to the pattern of the Word of God.

Spring will usher usher in summer, and this “spiritual” spring is going to usher in an awesome summer of revival, as God’s servants preach the Word with anointing and power, which will produce many signs and wonders, and the Lord is going to add to the Church “such as should be saved Acts 2:47 And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Let us begin to praise and thank the Lord, for His dealings and for the pandemic, that has brought us to our knees in repentance and let us now SEEK TO FULFIL THE PURPOSES OF GOD IN OUR LIVES, AND IN HIS CHURCH AMEN.
