OUR GOD IS EVER CONSISTENLY FAITHFUL AMEN

A dear FB friend shared this verse with me and I would like to share it with you. 1 Thess. 5:24 AMP.N.T. Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it [fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you].

Paul firstly proclaims that God is FAITHFUL, we know this to be true not only because of the many years in the Bible God’s consistent FAITHFULNESS is seen, but I am sure it has been your personal experience (as it has been with me), that God is CONSISTENTLY FAITHFUL, He has never let us down, and never will, what a glorious fact we can testify too,

Please note that firstly God is calling us to Himself, after first calling us out of darkness into His marvellous light, then He called us to Discipleship to follow Him, and also called us into a ministry, for some it is an Eph. 4:11 ministry And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, but every Believer is called to fulfil a ministry in the Body of Christ, this is where a Disciplemaker/Mentor can assist us to clearly recognise the calling God has given us.

Another exciting calling to every Believer is the CALLING TO A LIFE OF HOLINESS AND VICTORIOUS LIVING, and we have the indwelling Holy Spirit to enable us to GROW IN GRACE AND IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, and the Word of God and being part of a Local church to enable us to fulfil this calling.

The AMP.N.T. uses the word “hallow” which we sure don’t use much these days, the Dictionary tells me it means “To make holy and sacred” as God has promised in Phil.1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Let us co-operate with our Faithful God, and continually re-affirm His is the Lord of our life and let Him continue His work within us.

May I encourage you to meditate on 1 Thess. 5:24, and look at different translations and let the Holy Spirit “quicken” this verse and aswesome truths to you more and more amen.
