DO YOU WANT TO BE ANOINTED WITH FRESH OIL. (2)

I do apologise for the typing error in the title of (1). There is so much that could be said on this exciting topic, ad some further thoughts have come to me since I wrote this morning. In my previous blog I  said that Prophets, Priests and Kings were all anointed with oil and set in their office. I highlighted the sweet Psalmist of Israel David’s anointing. David speaking in the present tense declares in Psalm 23:5 NLT You honor me by anointing my head with oil. In Psalm 133 1-2 AMP N.T. (a song of Ascents)  David speaking of unity  says BEHOLD, HOW good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body].
He speaks of Aaron (the High Priest’s anointing, again he mentions the head, let us pass this through the Cross and apply New Covenant principles to it. How important it is that our head and mind is anointed, remember every victory is won or lost in the mind. the anointing flowed right down Aaron’s body surely to his feet, with fresh anointing daily we can walk in the ways of the Lord, and even dance before Him. because of His goodness and blessing He gives us.
The Apostle Peter in his first epistle in 2: 5 & 9 He tells us the we are ROYAL & HOLY PRIESTS, both kings and priests) Rev. 1:5 NKJV And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us KINGS AND PRIESTS to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.  And it is all because the day we were born again, we received an ANOINTING from the Holy one.
Back in the 1980’s we learn and sang a simple but awesome chorus.
I shall be anointed with fresh oil every day.
I shall be anointed with fresh oil every day
I shall be anointed with the Holy Ghost and power
I shall be anointed with fresh oil,
fresh oil, fresh oil, anointed with fresh oil
Anointed with the Holy Ghost and power
Jesus shall bestow on me the Glory of the Lord
And I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
