MAKING JESUS NO.1 24/7 (Lenten 37)
I have written many times about the most important day in my life, and I am sure in yours too, that is the day we were born again 2 Cor. 5:17 NLT tells us This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
I am sure we will NEVER forget that day when the burden of sin rolled away, all because Jesus dealt with the sin question once and for all.
Over the years we have heard many people especially preachers say, that Jesus must not only be our SAVIOUR but must be the LORD OF OUR LIFE. The reality is that unless Jesus is the Lord, the Boss, The Master, The Ruler, The3 King, the Owner, the President of our lives, then the Christian life really doesn’t work.
Over the years we have many many times sung the hymn:

I am sure like you, I want the Lord to be the President 24/7 EVERY DAY.
I was saved in a Christian denomination that believed the doctrine of ERADICATION that is at that moment of complete surrender the old sinful nature is plucked out. I went forward many times for prayer seeking this to be my personal experience, but sadly it never happened. The more I have studied the Scriptures over the years , sadly I have come to see this is not what the Bible teaches.
after 68+ years as a born again Believer after much prayer and seeking answers and studying the Word of God that the only real key for the Believer to live and walk in victory, holiness and purity is what we call THE SURRENDERED LIFE, but the constant challenge is learning to lay on the altar in surrender 24/7. Rom. 12:1 AMP.N.T. I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
So, I pray EVERY DAY Lord take my drives, my senses, my mind, my emotions and my will and live your life through me.
We have all heard the saying, and sadly know by experience THE PROBLEM WITH A LIVING SACRIFICE IS THAT IT IS ALWAYS WANTING TO CRAWL OFF THE ALTAR.
I am praying much during this Lenten Journey this year that I will have a greater understanding of THE SURRENDERED LIFE, by the grace of God I want to lay on the altar 24?7. And over every thought, and every word, may my life reflect the beauty of the Lord
Cause You mean more to me than any early thing, so won’t You reign in me again.
