ARE YOU LOOKING FROM THE PLACE OF VICTORY?
It would seem that every few days I see something else “WRITTEN IN THE WILL” that I may have known as information, but is becoming more and more revelation (after all this time). In a sense I hang my head in shame and embarrassment that I have been a born again Believer for almost 70 years and I am still discovering things that are part of my INHERITANCE NOW, I am sure I could have saved myself from much heartache and defeat, if I had known what was available to me.
I could easily blame others who did not help and disciple me, but equally I should have done the “Berean thing” Acts 17: 11 N.L.T. And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.
I can’t change the past, but by the grace of God I am changing the present and the future.
Paul tells us in Eph. 2:4-6 NKJV But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
We will never forget that day when the Holy Spirit convicted us of our sin, and we realised for the first time we were dead in our trespasses and sins, and God gave us His Grace and Faith, and we were born again, Eph. 2:8-9 NKJV For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
We got the first part of Eph. 2:5 clearly, but didn’t recognise that we were lifted up to sit with with Jesus in heavenly places, and this is the thought I want to share with you today.
King David tells us in Psalm 59:10 N.L.T. In his unfailing love, my God will stand with me. He will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies.
When we are born again, OUR PERSPECTIVE SHOULD CHANGE, and we should start to see things as God sees them. David speaking prophetically tells us WE ARE NOW ON THE WINNING SIDE.
We are not looking up and overwhelmed by a problem or the attack of the enemy, we look down (because we are “seated in heavenly places”) and seeing the problem from God’s perspective, and because of the finished work of Jesus on the Cross, and that He ever lives to make intercession, our God is EVER TRUE TO HIS NAME, HIS NATURE AND HIS PROMISES, and the problem is dealt with
as Paul tells us in Rom. 8:37-39 NKJV Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
WE ARE NOT JUST CONQUERERS BUT MORE THAN CONQUERERS,
May this truth be quickened to your spirit today, once again let me remind you we can say:
GOD SAID IT, I BELIEVE IT THAT SETTLES IT.
